Focus and Scope

Statement

The escalating human population, projected to surpass 10 billion by 2050, intensifies challenges such as food insecurity, climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation. These issues, deeply rooted in human activities and consumption patterns, are central to the research focus of the Journal of Human, Earth, and Future. The journal is dedicated to publishing interdisciplinary studies that explore the complex interactions between humans and the environment, aiming to inform sustainable solutions for the pressing ecological and societal challenges of our time.

Journal of Human, Earth, and Future is a multidisciplinary, an open-access, internationally double-blind peer-reviewed journal with a focus on practical applications of theory, research, and experience. 

Special Issues deal with more focused topics with high current interest falling within the scope of the journal in which they are published. Special Issue proposals are welcome at any time during the year.

Publishing Schedule

HEF has been publishing four issues per year (Quarterly) since 2020. The publication months for each issue are as follows:

Aim & Scope

Journal of Human, Earth, and Future serves as a platform for forward-looking research that addresses these critical issues through the lens of sustainability and innovation. The journal explores how advancements in clean energy and green technologies, along with progress in biotechnology and biological sciences, can contribute to more resilient societies and ecosystems. It highlights the role of technological innovation in shaping the future, while also examining food systems and agricultural practices, and their impact on both human livelihoods and environmental health.

Equally important is the journal’s commitment to showcasing research that supports societal resilience, fosters sustainable communities, and strengthens our collective ability to respond to the environmental and social transformations of this century.

By integrating science, engineering, and social insight, HEF aims to contribute meaningfully to the global discourse on how humanity and the Earth can co-evolve toward a more sustainable future. The Journal of Human, Earth, and Future will consider multidisciplinary and significant original research submissions in the following areas:
